Apple’s presentation software does it all for you when you convert a PowerPoint presentation to Keynote. However, to do the opposite requires a few additional steps – we’ll walk you through these steps!
First, double-click the Keynote presentation you want to convert to Keynote, then click File in the upper left corner.
In the drop-down menu that appears, move the mouse pointer over “Export to”. In the submenu that appears, click on “PowerPoint”.
You are now on the “PowerPoint” tab of the “Export Presentation” window. Here you can choose a few options, including requiring your recipient to use a password to open a presentation. This is a good idea if the presentation contains sensitive information, such as: B. a company roadmap.
Click the Format: drop-down menu to change your PowerPoint file to .pptx or .ppt, and then click Next.
Name your presentation, choose a location to save the file, and click Export.
Your Keynote presentation will now be converted to a Microsoft PowerPoint file. To make sure it has been converted properly before sending it out, find the document and right click on it. In the menu that appears, click Information.
In the General section (next to Type:) you can check the file type to make sure it was converted successfully.
