Life can get hectic. Between work, school and all the extra-curricular activities, weekly tasks such as creating a shopping list can take a back seat. However, with some help from the Google Keep app for Android or iPhone, you can simplify at least one thing.
Tell your spouse or one of your children that you can pick up a special reward for them next time you're in the grocery store. Why should you be responsible for remembering? It is her pleasure. Thanks to Google Check's common checklists, you can blame everyone in your family for adding items to the shopping list.
: Create a new common checklist
If you do not have Google Keep, grab it for iPhone or Android . Then open the app and tap the icon with the check mark inside a square. It is located at the bottom of the screen.
This will create a new checklist. If you want, you can also create a shared notes file, but this is not very useful for things like shopping lists. Name the checklist you created and tap the three-dot menu button in the lower-right corner. Touch "Collaborator" there.
Next, you may be asked to keep access to your contacts. Therefore, tap "Allow" when prompted. From there, tap the person or email address to share them with the field, and your keyboard will open. Enter the Gmail address of a family member (or just his name if his Gmail account is in your contacts) and select him from the pop-up list. Repeat this process for all other family members for whom you want to share this checklist, and then tap the Save button in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Work with your family
Ask only your family member (s) Open the Google Keep app on their phones. Make sure you're signed in to the same Gmail account you sent the collaboration invitation to. In this case, your shared list will be displayed directly on the main Keep screen as if you had created it yourself. You will also see the avatars of all other family members who joined the list.
So if you want to pick something up from the grocery store, ask them to add it to the list. All you have to do is tap "+ List Item" and enter it. Within seconds, the entry is automatically displayed on all other phones. The same applies if somebody deletes an entry or signs it off, so you can even get help from your staff in the supermarket.
