In general, keeping your apps up-to-date is a good idea, but there are times when you may not want to do this. You may have a measured connection or have an upper data limit that you do not want to exceed. Or you do not want a specific app to be updated to a new, flawed version. To prevent the Microsoft Store from automatically updating the apps it downloads.
The first thing you need to do is start the Microsoft Store. Click Start, type "Save" in the search field and click "Microsoft Store".
Click the Show More button (the three dots) in the top right corner of the Store app. Then click on "Settings".
From here, turn on the "Automatically update apps" button.
If you want to upgrade applications that are connected to the Microsoft Store, you need to open the store and update it manually using the Downloads and Updates settings. To re-enable the automatic updates, follow the steps above and select the Automatically update apps check box.
