Netflix has made it possible to download shows and movies with the mobile Netflix app since the end of 2016. This means that you can watch movies and shows on the plane or without an internet connection. Fucking downloading Netflix content while you're home and connected to Wi-Fi is a super-easy way to save your mobile data plan on the go. Android even has the ability to outsource content to a microSD card should their device provide support.

When you log in to the Netflix app for the first time, a dialog box appears that displays the download icon for the download. More importantly, at the bottom of the popup, you'll see a link to all the movies and shows you can download right now. Choose it! If you close the command prompt before reading, there is a new category Available for download in the search section of the app.

Downloading a broadcast is as easy as tapping the download button and letting the app take care of the rest. Ideally, you want to have a Wi-Fi connection. Alternatively, when browsing the Netflix catalog, you can always search for the download button.

You can set the download quality by opening the menu and choosing App Settings and choosing between Standard and High Quality . Of course, High needs more storage space on your phone.

Android users have a Smart Downloads setting that, when enabled, automatically deletes episodes you've seen and downloads more episodes without your intervention.

Android users can enable (or disable) the feature by opening the Netflix app and going to app settings . Move the Smart Downloads switch to A or From Position

As previously mentioned, the feature is one-to-one. When you look at three episodes of a series that has been downloaded, Netflix deletes these three episodes on the next Wi-Fi connection and downloads the next three.

If you do not want to use Smart Downloads or use iOS, you can manually manage your downloaded content.

To delete content, select the Downloads tab below, and then tap the show you want to manage. To remove multiple episodes simultaneously, tap a single episode with a tap of the blue icon on the right, followed by Delete Download, or tap the Edit Pencil icon.

To clear all downloads in one go, go to App Settings and select Delete All Downloads .

Memory

To view and manage your downloaded programs, go to App Settings and locate the Downloads section. There you can see how much space your Netflix apps have on your device.

The only limitation on the amount of space Netflix will use is the storage capacity of your phone. In other words, if you have a 128GB phone, you can use as much of it as you want to save broadcasts that you normally binge-watch.

For those Android users who have a device with microSD support, Netflix now allows them to store on external storage. In the Netflix app, go to App Settings > Download Location . Select your SD card and then press the Back button.
