Slack provides a built-in Dark Mode for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Here's how to activate it with just a few taps and use a darker interface. This can even save power if you have a phone with an OLED display.
To turn on Slack Dark Mode, tap the menu icon in the upper-right corner of the Slack app. It looks like three vertical dots. It is located on Slack for iPhone, iPad and Android in the same place.
Tap Settings in the menu bar.
Tap the "Dark Mode" option here. On the iPhone or iPad, tap the switch to the right of Dark Mode to quickly turn it on or off.
Scroll down to Android In the General section, click the Dark Mode option. For some reason, Slack will ask you to restart the Slack app to apply the change.
To turn off Dark Mode, return here and tap the same option.
Note that Slack syncs your normal Slack theme between your devices. For this reason, your sidebar may not be dark – even in the dark. Adjust the color of your Slack sidebar and pick a dark theme to make it darker.
