How To Film Your iPhone With Your Own Green Screen

  Screenshot of the iMovie timeline

Blue and green screens are used by TV and movie studios to mix two videos by replacing the background with something else. You have this ability on your iPhone and iPad and we'll show you how to use it.

Studios used the blue and green screen for a long time, but you do not need a big crew or expensive cameras to do that. Let them work. With just an iPhone or iPad, you can create some spectacular effects yourself.

How Blue and Green Screens Work

You can make this screen transparent by shooting a video in front of a color screen. Then, a second video is placed behind the original using software so that it can be displayed in the place of the screen.

This technique has often been used to display weather charts behind TV presenters.
