Each year, Smithsonian Magazine hosts a. This year, with a Museum Day Ticket delivered by the Smithsonian, you will receive free entry to museums across the country.
The clutch? Tickets are only valid for Saturday, September 22, 2018. To secure your tickets, go to the Museum Day website now. Enter your postcode and browse the available museums in your area.
You can only download one ticket for admission. So if you have more people, you need to download those tickets yourself.  If you're busy on September 22, here are some other ways to get into your favorite museum for free all year round.
Show some plastic
You can use plastic to buy tickets for your trips, but other cards that are in your wallet can also give you free tickets to your favorite museum.
For example, Blue Star Museum's plan allows those with a military ID card, along with their families, to enter the museum from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. To find the participating museums, click on this map
You can also use your credit or debit card to get free entry. If you have a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card and an image ID, you can travel to museums in the US for free on the first full weekend of each month.

Go to Library
You can watch more than movies and books in some libraries. You can also check out passes to museums and science centers. All you have to do is book the booking with your library a few weeks in advance. Participating city library systems include Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, New York, Dallas, Miami, Denver, and Chicago.

Museums usually have days when you can visit a museum for free, without tickets or special preparation. You only need to know when those days are.
Some cities have a history or cultural night once a year, where all local historical sites, city tours, and museums are open to the public. To find out if your city is planning any of these days, contact your local Chamber of Commerce.
During the slow season, museums also have their own days off. Check their website or call the museum and just ask if they have free entry days in the calendar.
