The art of emojis – the next level beyond the simple text-based emoticons we used in the not-too-distant past. We rely so much on emojis in our ever-connected world today, just because they help portray emotions in our typed words. They have not been on the market for very long, but have taken the world by storm just as quickly as they first appeared in our society.
With the popularity and versatility of Emoji comes the ability to make unique and individual experiences every platform as well. Google, Apple, Twitter, Samsung and even WhatsApp each have their own versions of emoji designs – some prefer designs over others. Due to limitations, using your favorite emoji on the entire system can be difficult.
If you really like the emoji designs from the Twitter platform, I have a Magisk module for you. Developer Xyllon's Twemoji module allows you to replace your current emoji design on your system with the Twitter version. Also, the SafetyNet flag will not fire, so you can enjoy your new emoji without worrying about damaging other apps during the process.
Open the Magisk Manager app. On the left, touch the menu icon, then tap Downloads. Tap the search icon and then type in the term "twemoji" so that the module required for the manual appears immediately. Continue and tap the download arrow once and then tap Install. Give Magisk Manager the required permissions by tapping Allow. Then the installation process begins.
It only takes a few seconds to install this module. Then tap the "Restart" button at the bottom. Restart the phone and activate the module.
From then on, you can use the Twitter emojis for all apps and keyboards that support emoji. It will replace all traces of the stock system versions universally, meaning that you will see nothing but the Twitter emojis installed by the module. Note that these changes are only on your page – other users will not see them by default unless the same module is installed.
However, the changes are not permanent even if you want to return to the default tokens provided with your phone. Go to the Magisk Manager app, tap the menu icon on the left and go to "Modules". Locate the Twemoji module, tap the trash can icon, and then restart the phone to completely remove the module. Back to the camp!
