Twitter.com has just been updated with a new interface. Twitter's website is now an advanced web app, more like the mobile version. However, you do not have to use the new one. You can restore the classic Twitter website with just a few clicks.
The Easy Way: Installing a Browser Extension
We recommend using the GoodTwitter extension available for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox ̵
This extension is open source so you can see what it does on GitHub. Each time you access Twitter.com, a user agent is sent stating that you are using Internet Explorer 11. Twitter sends the old, classic web interface to users of this older browser.

There are many ways to do this, the main thing being that you choose the user agent Do not constantly change your browser, or that you receive all kinds of old web pages destined for Internet Explorer 11.
In Firefox, you can do this, for example, with the setting about: config – no browser extension required.
Type about: config in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. Click "I accept the risk" to bypass the warning. As long as you are careful what you change in about: config, and follow the instructions here, you are fine.
