Unlike most other social media platforms, TikTok requires you to follow some guidelines before broadcasting. To get started, you’ll need at least 1,000 followers before you can start broadcasting. If your account is less than that, you won’t even see the live stream option. Once you’ve hit 1,000 followers, don’t panic if the button doesn’t appear right away. It may take a few days to appear.

Second, you must be over 16 years of age. Although TikTok allows people ages 13 and up to join, the streaming requirement is a bit older – work on your dance moves by then. As a bonus, if you’re over the age of 18, viewers can send a variety of virtual gifts that can be exchanged for cash. If you are not yet 18, you need to include your gratitude in comments and hearts.
