How to Increase Text Size in Google Chrome for Android «Android :: Gadget Hacks

There are many reasons why you want to increase your text size in Google Chrome. The browser's accessibility tools include some tools that improve the readability of text on Web sites. By changing the text scale, enabling zooming, and switching the simplified view, Google Chrome can be customized to fit your needs.

You can add more words to the page by reducing the text size. Increasing the size is helpful for users who want to easily read large text in their mobile browser. Unfortunately, this does not work on the iPhone version of Google Chrome. The instructions below are for Android users only.

Step 1
: Increase Your Text Size

First, open the Google Chrome app and press the three dots on the top right. A menu will appear – press the "Settings" button. On the Settings screen, click the Accessibility button.

Here you can see a slider "Text Scaling". Use this slider to increase or decrease the text size displayed by Google Chrome. Below are two images where the scaling is set to the maximum and minimum.

"Force Zoom Enable": This option allows you to zoom in on sites you would not otherwise be able to enlarge. This is useful if you need a larger text or want to take a closer look at a picture. The Simplified view for web pages option allows supported sites to display a simple view. Simple view removes unnecessary items such as ads and sidebars to help keep browsing on the Web less distracting.
