How to Install a VPN on a Fire TV Stick



Amazon Fire TV sets offer a variety of entertainment options with native support for many of the best video streaming services including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. The Fire TV Stick also provides access to a decent collection of apps that can enhance your media streaming experience, including Amazon Silk Browser and Spotify.

However, as with any other Internet-connected device, the traffic generated by your Fire Stick is visible to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). That is not ideal. Everyone should consider using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to keep their private data out of the reach of ISPs. VPNs can also help you in some cases to access content with region locks. Note, however, that many video streaming services are actively working to prevent this workaround.

People who want to stream illegal content with their Fire Sticks may also need a VPN. To be clear, we do not support or tolerate the use of a VPN to cover up illegal activity. Yes, theoretically a VPN should not detect such activities. Like any other technology, VPNs are subject to failure and exploitation. Other VPNs such as Tunnel Bear do not list APKs on their website, so you may have to access them elsewhere from sites like APK Mirror or APKPure.
