Smartwatches can come in very handy when you can leave your smartphone behind. Samsung Galaxy watches have several features that make this possible including offline Spotify music playback. We’ll show you how to set it up on your watch.
Downloading music for offline listening is great for running and exercising. You can plug in bluetooth headphones and listen to music without your phone. It can also help save mobile data if your Samsung watch is equipped with LTE.

Before we start, you should know that listening to Spotify offline (on a watch or other device) requires a premium subscription.
First, make sure you have the Spotify app installed on your Samsung Galaxy watch and your iPhone or Android device.
Depending on which Samsung Galaxy watch you own, the Spotify sign-up process may be a little different. The Watch app either automatically connects to the Spotify app on your phone, prompts you to pair, or prompts you for your credentials.
After logging in, we have to switch Spotify from “Remote”
Next, choose the Playback option.
Select the setting “Standalone”. You may be asked at this point to pair with your phone.
Now we can find music to download for offline listening. You can browse your music library, browse Spotify’s curated lists, or search for something in particular.
You can find all of your playlists in the “Your Music” section. At the top of a playlist, toggle the toggle to Download to save the entire playlist to your smartwatch.
To save a single song, open the media player and then tap the three dots at the bottom of the interface.
Then tap the “Save” button.
This will add the song to “Your Collection” which can be found under “My Music”. Check “Download” to automatically download everything you have saved in your collection for offline listening.
That’s all there is to it. If you open the Spotify app on your Samsung Galaxy watch without an internet connection, tracks that are not available offline will be grayed out. However, you can play whatever you’ve downloaded.
