After playing Mario Kart Tour for a while, you'll find that it's a bit different from previous games in the series. The biggest change is how they've switched to new players by automating many controls. But what if you want the traditional experience? We have you up to date.
While the loose approach is great for new users, Mario Kart has a dedicated fan base. A good portion of Mario Kart Tour players have played Mario Kart before, and for those users, the mobile controls will be inappropriate. So if you want to enjoy a similar experience to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch (which is largely based on this game), you should adjust some settings.
: Enable manual drift
One of the most important moves you can master in any Mario Kart game is drift. Drifting allows you to bend curves without slowing down. It also gives you a free boost to stay one step ahead of your opponents.
On the console, this was a challenging move that only experienced players could perform. But on Mario Kart Tour, I would be surprised if you did not make it . When drifting, you only have to stroke and hold in the direction of the curve. While you hold, your wheels will sparkle. Eventually, the color of the sparks changes, indicating that a stronger boost is activated when you let go. Quite easy.
When you open Mario Kart Tour for the first time, you can choose between simple controls and drift in the setup guide. The latter activates "Manual Drift", which makes drifting more difficult, but you will be rewarded for your efforts.
If You Randomly decided "Quite simply," You can change it at any time by going to "Main Menu" and then to the Click the gear icon labeled "Settings". Touch the box next to "Manual Drift" to enable the feature.
To drift, you must swipe left or right, release the screen, touch to jump, and hold to drift. It's much harder to play, but more in line with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And as an added bonus, Nintendo makes this the only way to enable Ultra Mini Turbos, the highest boost available for drifting.
Another Change You Make Perhaps the automatic activation of items may have been noticed. In Mario Kart Tour, objects like the star are automatically triggered when you click on a new question mark. While you still have control over projectiles like shells and banana peels, this is another change that appeals to causal mobile gamers. It also removes old items when you click a question mark while an item is still in the warehouse.
Every other game in the series requires you to make important decisions about these items. Are you using the star now, or are you coming up and using it at the end to overtake the current leader? Are you saving your current item or wasting it to try your luck on another item block? In the other Mario Kart games, these decisions are made at every race, and for many, the game is fun.
To change this, go to "Menu", then "Settings" and then disable "Auto-Item". "Now all elements need your interaction before they are activated, and you can not have any items left if you want to buy a new one as it is on the switch.
If you played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a Joy-Con Wheel, you'll like Mario Kart Tour on this last change of settings At the same menu as above, tap the box next to "Gyro Handling" to turn on the function, as long as you have a gyroscope built into your device (and even if this is not the case, you can use this Xposed module
