Browse skills and games
Okay, how do you find out what you are about to find? can Alexa ask? Open the Alexa app and tap the Hamburger icon (). Then tap the section for Skills & Games.
Abilities to see what you can ask Alexa. Home screen skills are based on employee selection, top skills, premium skills, latest skills, trend abilities, and more.
Tap "Categories" at the top to view certain categories of abilities, such as: Business & Finance, Education & Reference, Health & Fitness, News, Shopping, Smart Home & Weather.
Tap a category that interests you. The app shows you everything you can expect in this category of Alexa.
Search and Sort
Curious about a specific skill that can not be found but does not see it listed? Enter a keyword in the search box at the top of the screen and tap Search. Alexa displays skills that match your search term.
You can sort your current list of Alexa skills by relevance and average customer rating, release date, or status of features.
Review of your Alexa story
Back to the Skills main page. If you've asked Alexa specific questions related to her abilities, you can see your previous questions. At the top, tap the "Your Skills" link. The app will show you a list of your previous questions to Alexa, starting with the latest ones. You can also sort the list alphabetically.
Touch a specific skill to learn how to trigger it. Here you can also deactivate the skill.
Writing a review or troubleshooting
If you have problems using a specific skill or would like to rate it, scroll to the bottom of this page for that skill. Then tap the "Write review" or "Problems with this ability?" Button. You can then add your feedback.
Tap the Start button below to return to the Alexa app home page. Then tap the Hamburger icon () and select the section for Things to Try.
Here you can Discover new features for your Alexa device. The Things to Try screen is divided into several categories, including music, audiobooks, skills, and more. Select a specific category to look into.
In this case we consider the category audiobooks. The page contains a list of commands for Alexa concerning Audible and Kindle. If you want to see the Amazon music section, you will see commands to interact with the music service from Amazon. Each category works the same way.
Revise Your Commands
Tap the Home button to return to the Home screen. This page shows maps of past questions and requests to Alexa. Scroll through the list of maps to check your history with Alexa. Tap the ellipse () of a map you want to edit. You can then manage the existing list or create a new one.
Change the wake-up word
By default, your Alexa device responds when you say the word "Alexa", but you can turn the wake-up word into something change another. This is an option that can be especially useful if you have more than one Alexa device in your house . To do this, tap the Devices button below and then the Echo & Alexa icon. From the Echo & Alexa screen, select the device you want to use. If you have selected a device, scroll down the Device Settings screen and tap Wake Word.
While "changing" your wake-up word "screen, tap the current wake-up word. The app gives you the option to use the Change the wake-up word to Amazon, echo or computer Select the new wake-up word A message will tell you that it will take a few minutes to update your wake-up word Tap OK, your new wake-up word will appear Tap Save.
Rename an Alexa device
You can rename an Alexa device, which is a handy option if you have multiple devices Edit the screen of the device under his name on the Edit Name link Enter a new name and tap Done Your device has been renamed.
Add location or change
You can also de n Add or change the location of the device. By giving the device your specific city or street address, you can find local information, such as: Restaurants, cinemas and shops nearby.
On the device screen, tap the Location entry. On the Location screen, enter your street, city, state, and postal code. If you do not want to share your street, just enter your zip code. The app uses your city and state as the location. Touch Save.
Alexa checks your address and may suggest a different or more accurate one. Select the address you want to use and tap Select. The new position is then displayed in the device settings.
