Stories make sharing your daily highlights on Instagram fun. However, aside from choosing who to hide the stories from, stories do not have much privacy control. Instagram recognizes this flaw, which is why the company is now introducing a new feature called "Close Friends List," which allows users to share stories with only a select group of followers.
Instagram announced the new feature on Friday, November 30, claiming it would be available to iOS and Android users throughout the day. If you do not see "Close Friends" on your device yet, just be patient – over-the-air updates can take some time. In the meantime, look at what you can expect from the function described below.
Just like the best Instagram features, using Close Friends is very easy. At the bottom right, tap your profile icon, and then tap the Hamburger menu in the top right corner. Choose "close friends list" from the options. You can use the Suggestions tab to add friends recommended by Instagram to your list. With "Your List" you can view all the names added to "Close Friends" and remove all the desired entries.
None of your list
If you have a list together, the "Close Friends" icon will display a story tap on it and your story will only be sent to these friends , You'll know it's only for close friends just because of the green badge around the story. If you see a green badge around a friend's story, you know you've been added to his Close Friends list.
If you are worried that some of these close friends, family members, and Internet acquaintances share your story via Instagram with people outside your Close Friends List, do not be The Paper Airplane Icon not available in a story shared with Close Friends. Therefore, they have no way to pass it on to other people.
