There was a brand new Echo Dot at today's event. It has a new fabric design (not unlike the Google Home Mini ($ 49 at Google Store) ), which will be available in a variety of color options. Compared to the existing Dot it is a bit smaller, has a brand new mic array and should be up to 70 percent louder, according to the manufacturer.

Like the predecessor models, the new Echo Dot will also sell $ 50. Pre-orders start today and will be delivered on the 11th of October.

echo input

The echo input is effectively an echo point without speakers. It should be used with an existing speaker, as many people already do with their echo dots. Connect the input via Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm jack to your sound system and stream music, audiobooks or podcasts through your sound system.

Without speakers, it's smaller and cheaper than the Echo Dot. It's only 12.5 millimeters and costs only $ 35. Echo In will be available for purchase later this year, but you can sign up to be notified as soon as it's available on its store page.

Echo Sub

The Echo Sub adds the much-needed bass to your existing Alexa speaker setup. You can pair the subwoofer with a different echo or Echo Plus ($ 100 for Adorama) in single or stereo pairing.

The Echo Plus costs $ 130, and pre-orders start today. You can also pair the Sub with two second-generation Echo Plus speakers for $ 330 or two second-generation echo speakers for $ 250. The Echo Sub is set for the 11th of October.

Unlike the echo input, the Echo Link and the Echo Link Amp lack a microphone input. The link is designed to connect to a receiver or amplifier so you can control your existing entertainment center speakers with Alexa. The link amplifier is a slightly larger box with a 60 watt two-channel amplifier.

After connecting, you can control your existing speakers through the Alexa app or other Alexa devices in your home.

The Echo Link costs $ 200, while the Echo Link Amp costs $ 300. Both will be delivered later this year.

Echo Plus

Amazon also announced a redesign of the Echo Plus . This time it will sound clearer and better bass. It will also serve as a smart home hub that can control your local smart home devices without an internet connection.

The Echo Plus also comes with a built-in temperature sensor that allows you to create routines based on the temperature of the room in which the speaker is located.

The newer Echo Plus is still $ 150. Pre-orders start today and orders start on October 11th.

Echo Show

The Amazon Echo Show also receives a redesign with a larger 10-inch screen and better sound. For audio, there are now two Side Firing 2-inch drivers, a passive bass emitter and Dolby processing. It also has an eight-mic array.

Adding Alexa to Your Car is not a completely new concept, but Amazon has never officially offered a chance to do so until now. The Echo Auto has an eight-microphone array that, according to Amazon, was "specifically designed to handle noise in the car."

It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE (so no hotspot is required) and you can use all your favorite hands-free controls behind the wheel.

For the time being, you must request an invitation to purchase the Echo Auto for a reduced price of $ 25. However, if it's publicly available, it will cost $ 50.

The Echo Wall Clock is a companion to your existing Alexa speakers. In short, it serves as a visual display for all your timers and reminders. Say "Alexa, set a timer for 10 minutes." The Echo Wall Clock displays the remaining time of the timer. It connects to your other echo devices via Bluetooth.

The Echo Wall Clock will be released later this year for $ 20. You can sign up to be notified on the landing page.

Amazon also builds its own smart plug. It will be the first device to ship with Amazon's new Wi-Fi Simple Setup. When you plug it in for the first time, Alexa asks how you want to name it. Then you can just speak the name instead of fumbling with an app and typing it in manually.

The Amazon Smart Plug costs $ 25 and can be preordered today. It will be delivered from the 11th of October.

AmazonBasics Microwave
