Here's the problem: The screen of your mobile device usually emits a blue light that is suitable for the day, but can disturb your sleep at night. That's because blue light stimulates your brain and makes you think it's daytime, and you may be able to stay awake using your device at bedtime.
But do not despair. You can work around the blue light problem if you are using an iOS, Android, or Windows 10 device. On an iPhone or iPad, you can use a feature called Night Shift to change the color temperature of your screen to a less exciting temperature. Some Android devices have a built-in Blue Light feature. Otherwise, you can turn to a variety of Blue Light apps. With Windows 1
iPhone or iPad
Go to your iPhone or iPad Settings> Display & Brightness . On the Display and Brightness screen, tap Night shift. This feature changes the screen temperature of your device to a warmer color, filtering out the blue light.
The Night Shift screen provides some options This allows you to control when the screen changes colors and which colors to use. Touch the "Scheduled" button.
Then tap the box labeled "From" and "To". Here you can set a start time and an end time for the night shift. For example, you can set it to turn on about one hour before going to sleep and turn off when you wake up.
You can also set Night Shift to take effect from Sunset to Sunrise. If you do not see this option, you will return to the main Settings screen. Touch Privacy> Location Services . Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap System Services. Enable the option to set the time zone. Return to the night shift screen and tap the scheduled times. You now see the option for sunset until sunrise.
Return to the main screen of the night shift. Tap the setting for Manual to activate tomorrow. The blue screen filter takes effect immediately and remains active until the beginning of the next day.
Finally, you can control the color temperature of Night Move the slider to More Warm or Less Warm. Warmer settings are best if you want a good night's sleep, but you want to find a balance to make the screen comfortable. Play around with this setting until you find the right temperature for you.
You can also enable night shift mode from the Control Center on your iPhone or iPad. To turn on Control Center, swipe your finger up or down from the top of the screen, depending on your device. Press the Brightness slider down and tap the Night Shift On button.
Certain Android devices have built-in blue light filters that can be turned on or off via the pull-down menu. However, as with many Android features, availability will vary depending on your specific device and your Android version.
If you want to search this feature on your Android phone or tablet, select Settings> Display . Look for an option for the nightlight or blue light filter. When you find it, tap it to turn on the filter.
On some Android devices and versions, you may also be able to set the schedule night light function and adjust the temperature, as in iOS. If so, tap the Schedule option and set the start and end times, or choose Sunset to Sunrise, if available. Then look for an intensity or opacity option to change the color temperature.
Blue Light Filter Apps
If your Android device does not do this If you do not have a built-in blue light feature or If you can not set the time or adjust the temperature, you can try one of several third-party apps that filter blue light instead.
Blue Light Filter
With Blue Light Filter you can easily adjust the color temperature by choosing from several preset options. The app even gives tips on optimal temperature to help you sleep soundly. You can also adjust the intensity and brightness of the filter manually.

sFilter allows you to manually turn on a blue light or schedule it to turn on and off at certain times of the day or night. You can change the color, opacity, and brightness of the filter. You can also use the app to create a shortcut icon or widget so you do not need to open the app to activate the filter.
Twilight: Blue Light Filter
Twilight: Blue Light Filter informs you of the correct color temperature when you move a slider. You can also set the filter to be always on, run from sunrise to sunset, or turn on and off at specific times.
Windows 10 device
If you use a Windows 10 PC or tablet before going to bed, you may come across the same trouble trying to get a good night's sleep. However, Microsoft's nightlight feature can color the screen with a warmer color.
Click the Start button and go to Settings> System> Display . Turn the night light switch to turn it on. Click the night lighting settings link to schedule the feature or change the color.
Click Turn on now to immediately turn on the nightlight mode. You can now adjust the color temperature by moving the slider to the color temperature at night. If you move the slider to the left, the temperature gets warmer, while moving it to the right makes the temperature cooler.
You can also set up the nightlight so it automatically takes effect at the right hours. Turn on the switch on Schedule night light.
Here are two options: set the sunset to sunrise or hours. To set the sunset to sunrise, you must have already enabled the location services in Windows.
If you want to set specific hours for night light, click the Set Hours button. Click on the time under the Power On line to set the start time. Then click on the time under the Power off line to set the time it will be stopped. The night light now automatically enters when you need it and disappears when you do not.
