Some may find it annoying to receive YouTube notifications randomly during the day. Every time a YouTube channel uploads a video, someone responds to your comments. At the same time, you do not want to disable these notifications so you do not miss them. Luckily, YouTube provides a fun medium for getting important notifications, but only once a day at the time you want.
Setting your YouTube notifications to a specific time every day will result in less random bombardments of notifications. Control over notifications can help to reduce distractions during the day. Luckily, this feature is available in the YouTube app for Android and iPhone.
Adjusting Notification Delivery Time
Open YouTube and tap your avatar or circular icon with your initial on the top right corner of the main screen. From there choose "Settings", scroll down and select "Notifications."
If notifications have been turned off for your YouTube app, tap "Enable notifications," then you'll be redirected to your phone's settings. Select "Notifications," then "YouTube," make sure notifications are turned on, and return to the YouTube app.
With notifications enabled, tap the "Scheduled Digest" text, but do not press the button. The Delivery Time dialog box appears. Here you can set the ideal time to receive your YouTube notifications. The time you set is the time that you receive all YouTube notifications received within 24 hours.
After you set your delivery time, you will now receive all YouTube notifications daily at the same time. Notifications are sent as a single notification. When you tap the notification, you're taken to the YouTube notification screen where you can see each message.
