Until recently, capturing a video on a Chromebook was not an easy process (and not even part of the standard Google Camera app!). Now you can easily capture and upload videos to YouTube or share them with friends and family.
How to Record a Video
To record a video on your Chromebook, you must first open the camera. This example uses the default Chromebook Camera app. However, you can use any Camera app from the Play Store that supports video capture.
First, open the Camera app on your Chromebook. You can find it in the Start menu ̵
After opening the app, click the "Video" icon next to the shutter button on the camera.
After the camera mode changes, click the "Capture" icon to start the video capture.
When you're done with your video, click the "Stop Recording" icon and your video will be saved to your computer.

How to Find Your Recorded Videos
After you're done, you'll need to search the videos on your Chromebook to view them, edit them and release for all your friends. This can be done in two ways, either directly in the camera app or in the file app. How It Works:
Displaying Your Videos Using the Camera App
When you click the Stop Recording icon, a thumbnail of the most recent video is displayed in the lower-right corner. If you click on the thumbnail, it will be displayed in the gallery app for you to see.

If you no longer want video, click the trash can at the top of the window.

 View your videos from the Files app
First, open the Files app on your Chromebook. You will find it in the start screen. Tap the "Search" button on the keyboard and search for "files" or click on "All Apps" and look for the icon. It's also fixed to the shelf by default, so it may still be there if you have not removed it.
