How to Release Developer Options on Your Pixel in Android 9.0 Cake «Android :: Gadget Hacks

If you ever want to go beyond the basics on your Android smartphone, you should first open the hidden Developer Options menu. With this option turned on, you can change the way parts of the Android inventory look like, enable ADB connectivity with your computer, add visual responses to taps, and more.

The anti-reflective Developers options menu is something unlike previous Android versions because of the new interface in Android 9.0 Pie, but it's not even different. Just knock more. So it works in Android Pie now on the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, and it will likely be on other devices that may one day use Android Pie as the Moto X4.

Step 1
: Go to the Settings & # 39; About Phone & # 39;

Open your settings, and then tap System. On the next page, tap Advanced, then Over the Phone. Depending on which version of Android Pie you are currently using, it will appear either at the bottom of the expanded list or at the top.

Step 2: Tap, tap, tap "Build Number"

Tap "Advanced" again, then tap "Build number" at least 7 times to Developer options "menu. You may need to enter your PIN after 7 tapes before it can be unlocked.

When you receive a note saying, "You are now a developer!" you are golden. When it says, "No need, you're already a developer," then you already have.

Step 3: Check out our new & # 39; developer options & # 39;

If the "Developer Options" are now unlocked, go back to Choose Developer Options from the System menu. (If you later go to the "System" menu, you must first tap "Advanced" again.) There are a lot of tweaks here.

The option " OEM unlocking" allows you to start the process of unlocking your bootloader, if this has not already been done. Just think depending on which settings you like you do not like them later and want to go back. Maybe you like "Show Taps" or "Pointer location" first, then you get sick of them when they look too distracting. So remember everything you've adjusted and you'll be fine.

Do you want to undo all your changes and completely remove the Developer Options menu? Simply turn "Developer Options" from "On" to "Off" and it will remove any optimizations you have made, and reset everything to the default settings so that you will not have problems the next time you turn it on. If you exit the now disabled "Developer Options" menu, it will disappear and you will need to start again from step 1 to re-enable it.
