Samsung's popular Good Lock app has been updated for use with One UI. Now you can take full advantage of the fantastic add-ons to easily customize your S10. Above all, with an add-on you can remove superfluous indicators such as the NFC "N" for a clean status bar.
QuickStar is the add-on in question that is used in conjunction with Good Lock to clean up The status bar allows you to remove certain icons without having to resort to more complicated methods such as rooting and installing custom ROMs. As you will see below, the process is very easy to follow, and you need to customize the status bar of your device like an experienced modder ̵
Step 1: Install Good Lock
Good Lock and QuickStar now supports Galaxy devices running the Android Pie-based One user interface, including S10, S10 + and S10e. Then go to the Galaxy Store (in your app drawer), look for Good Lock and install it. More information on this topic can be found in our Good Lock tutorial below.
Open the app with Good Lock and touch on the main page "QuickStar". You will be redirected to the download page of the add-on in the Galaxy Store. Then click "Install" to add QuickStar.
After installing the add-on, return to Good Lock and tap "QuickStar" Switch to the right under "Quick Panel Star" to enable it. Select "Display Icon Visibility" and just tap the buttons next to any of the lights you want to turn off – Alarm, Battery, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode, and more. Finish Good Lock when you're done tweaking and enjoy your conspicuous status bar.
Of course, QuickStar can not only turn off status bar icons, but also disable them. For example, you can apply a custom theme in your Quick Settings window and add more functionality to your notifications. So if you want to customize these features, you should familiarize yourself with the add-on.
