Android 11 introduced a feature that puts notifications from messaging apps in a “Conversations” section of the notification shadow. These notifications are always at the top of the list, but it̵
If you see a notification in the Conversations section, press and hold it.
Tap the gear icon in the top right to open the Settings menu.
You are now in the notification settings for the specified app. If the app supports the “Conversations” function, a list of people and groups is displayed in the upper area. Tap the one you want to remove.
Scroll down and select No Conversation. This will immediately remove that item from Conversations and return you to the previous screen.
Some apps do not properly support “conversations”, but they do appear in this section. With this letter, Facebook Messenger is one of them. The image below is shown when you press and hold a notification in Facebook Messenger.
You can still remove these apps from Conversations. Just tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the expanded notification panel.
Turn off the switch for “Conversation Area”.
