Digital boarding passes are great at the airport, so you can skip the long queues at check-in and go straight through the security checkpoint. However, once you've added a boarding pass to Apple Wallet, it will be there forever – until you remove it.
To remove boarding passes, launch the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Passes can not be removed On the screen that appears when you double-press the Home or Side button on your iPhone. You must use the Wallet app.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and touch the Edit Passes button.
Tap the minus sign or "-" button to the left of a passport, then tap "Delete" to remove it. Delete all desired passes. When you're done, tap Done.
You can also remove individual passes. In the Wallet app, tap a passport and tap the "…" button in the lower-right corner of the menu.
Tap Remove Pass to remove the passport from your wallet. You will be asked to confirm this, then touch "Remove" again.
If you accidentally remove a boarding pass that you still need, you can open the airline's app on your iPhone and add it back to Apple Wallet.
All airline apps we use show the boarding pass also within the app. You do not even need to add the passport to your Apple Wallet if you do not want to – you can use the airline's app to scan it.
We think Apple should offer a way to automatically delete expired boarding passes. Nobody needs an expired boarding pass from six months ago. But for the moment they are at least quickly gone.
