Here’s a typical “Recently Added” section at the top of the Start menu’s app list. It’s a small area that shows the names and icons of the recently installed apps.
If you want to hide the “Recently Added” section, you’ll need to go to Windows Settings. Open Settings by clicking the Start menu and selecting the Gear icon (or pressing Windows + I).
In the settings, click on “Personalization”.
Under Personalization in the sidebar, click the Start option.
In the Start menu settings, find the “Show recently added apps” switch. Click the switch to turn it off.
The next time you open the Start menu, you won’t see the recently added section of apps at the top. You will no longer be reminded of all the apps you recently installed, but of course you can find them in the All Apps list or via the search box in the Start menu.
