Smart tags can be very useful in Excel to quickly change the action a table performs on your data. They are displayed automatically when you work in Excel, but any smart tag can be removed if you do not use them.
What are smart tags?
A smart tag is a small button that appears when data is entered or selected from a spreadsheet. This button offers actions based on the data in the cells. The following image shows the smart tag insert options displayed when inserting data.
When you click the Smart Tag, various paste options are provided.

How to remove smart tags in Excel
If you do not use smart tags, you can remove them by removing smart tags These are only displayed in Excel when they are switched on again. This change affects all workbooks, not just the currently open ones.
Each of the smart tags in Excel has its own setting that needs to be disabled. This is great because you can disable certain tags that you do not use without removing them all.
Let's take a look at how to remove each smart tag. All smart tags can be removed from the options window in Excel. To open this window, click File> Options.
Paste Options and AutoFill
To remove the Paste Options button, click Advanced, and then clear the "Show Paste Paste Paste Options" check box.
This setting removes the smart tag for both the Insert and AutoFill options.
By default, the Flash fill is done automatically. As you type, Flash Fill may provide suggestions for your data entry.
When Flash Fill performs the action, it displays the smart tag so you can undo the suggestions.
If you do not want to continue this Flash Fill behavior, you can disable it. In the Advanced category, clear the Automatic Flash Fill check box.
Excel performs formulas and some basic error checks When you think you've made a mistake, you'll see a green arrow and a Smarttag displayed.
This does not necessarily mean that you made a mistake. Excel queries the formula because it may be inconsistent or unusual.
In the Formulas category, deselect the Enable Background Check check box.
Quick Analysis Tools
The Quick Analysis Options smart tag appears when you select a range of values in your spreadsheet. It provides a quick way to create a chart, apply a conditional formatting rule, or use other analysis functions.
