If things aren’t working the way they should on your Android TV (set-top box or software installed on your TV), it may be time to restart. Often times, simply restarting the device can solve any problems you are having. Find out how to do it.
If you use electronics, you know that the general “power cycle” advice often works. This also applies to Android TV devices. Sometimes a simple restart can make a world of difference. That is very easy.

First, use the D-Pad on your remote control to select the “Gear” icon in the upper right corner of the TV̵
The Settings menu opens. Some Android TVs have a “Quick Settings” section at the top that includes “Restart”. If you have the option, select it and you are done.
If you don’t have the Quick Settings section, there are a few additional steps. First, scroll down and select “Device Settings”.
Then click on “Info”.
You will now see the “Restart” option. Select this option to restart your Android TV.
The TV switches off briefly and you will see the startup animations when it is switched on again. That’s it!
