How to Share a Facebook Post with Friends & Family on WhatsApp «Smartphones :: Gadget Hacks

We're starting to see more WhatsApp integration with apps that Facebook also owns. We got our first glimpse last year with the ability to share Instagram posts directly with WhatsApp contacts. Now the same is being tested in the Facebook app itself, so users can share status, videos, photos and more with WhatsApp.

Unfortunately we do not know much about the feature at this time. Social media consultant Matt Navara broke news on Friday, May 18, and showed a screenshot of the feature in action

The feature is apparently being tested on the Facebook beta, although not all testers see it. If you want to be among the first to try out the new share feature, you can sign up for the Android beta here. Unfortunately, the iOS beta is not open for login.

We do not know yet if you can share Facebook with WhatsApp via the Facebook app or if you will be redirected directly to WhatsApp. For example, you can share Instagram posts with Facebook without having to leave Instagram yourself, but if you want to share the same post with Messenger, you'll need to leave Instagram and share the post in Messenger.

(1) Share on Facebook. (2) Sharing with Messenger

It is likely that the feature will be launched outside the app. This is the case when sharing from Instagram to WhatsApp, so there is a possibility that the same design will also be used on Facebook's app. We will not know until more information comes out. Until then, your estimate is as good as ours.
