How to transfer your Stardew Valley between PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad

Stardew Valley for iPhone and iPad lets you import games from your PC or Mac. You can also transfer saved games from your iPhone or iPad back to your PC or Mac, or between iPhones and iPads.

If you used mods in Stardew Valley on your PC, your storage files probably will not work properly. But if you have not touched any mods, they work perfectly.

How to Find Your Stardew Valley Store Folder

Your Stardew Valley games are stored in a folder on your PC or Mac. On a Windows PC, see:

% AppData% StardewValley Saves

You can open this folder by starting File Explorer, pasting the address into the address bar, and then pressing Enter. Or you can press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box and enter the path there.

On a Mac, your saved games are in the following location:

 ~ / .config / StardewValley / Saves

You can open this folder by launching the Finder to go to > Go to Folder (Command / Shift + G press), paste this path into the field, then press Enter.

On your iPhone or iPad To unlock your device, tap Trust and enter your PIN to continue. If you've already trusted your PC or Mac in the past, you can skip this part and the device will be instantly available in iTunes.

After it's connected, click the device icon in the toolbar in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window

In the left pane, click File Sharing and select "Stardew Valley" from the apps list. All Stardew Valley files on your iPhone or iPad are displayed here in the "Stardew Valley Documents" section.

You can also move saved games from your iPhone or iPad to your PC or Mac. For example, you can create a new character on your iPad and play it on the go, then transfer it to your PC. Or you can copy a character from your PC to your iPhone, play it for a while and then transfer it back to your PC to continue.

Connect your device to iTunes and go back to Device> File Sharing> Stardew Valley. Drag the appropriate character folder from Stardew Valley Documents to the Stardew Valley game folder on your Windows PC or Mac.

How to Rescue Your Stardew Valley Between Mobile Devices

Unfortunately, Stardew Valley for iPhone or iPad does not use iCloud to sync your saved games. This is especially disappointing as Stardew Valley uses PC and Mac Steam Cloud to sync your saved games. So, even if you play Stardew Valley on a Windows PC and Mac, Steam keeps your memory game synchronized between the two.

If you want to move your Stardew Valley scores from one iPhone or iPad to another, you must be able to do it through iTunes File Sharing. Just plug your iPhone or iPad into your computer and draw a character folder from the Stardew Valley Documents section

You now have a folder of backup data from your iPhone or iPad. You can even secure it if you want.

To move the saved games to another iPhone or iPad, connect the other device to your PC or Mac. Drag and drop the character folder into the Stardew Valley document area on the second device.

If you have played Stardew Valley on Linux, you will need to use a Windows PC or Mac to copy the files over. You could try to play in iTunes with iTunes, but we did not test it and would not recommend it.
