Screen Time on Mac is a handy way to track usage of your app and restrict content for kids. However, the notifications can be annoying. To turn them off, you can turn off notifications or just turn off Screen Time yourself. Here̵
How to turn off screen time notifications on Mac
If you want to keep using Screen Time but don’t want to receive notifications from Screen Time, here’s how to turn them off. First, click on the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen and choose System Preferences.
In System Preferences, click Notifications.
In the notification settings, scroll down the app list until you see “Screen Time” and click on it. Then click the switch next to “Allow Screen Time Notifications” until it turns off.
Close System Preferences. After doing this, you will no longer receive notifications from Screen Time.
Here’s how to completely turn off Screen Time on Mac
If Screen Time sends you notifications but you don’t want to use Screen Time (which sometimes happens when a recent macOS update has Screen Time automatically turned on), you can turn Screen Time off entirely. Here’s how.
First, open System Preferences by clicking the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen and selecting System Preferences from the menu. In System Preferences, click Screen Time.
In the Screen Time settings in the lower left corner of the window, click Options. Then click the “Turn Off” button in the upper right corner.
The screen time is completely deactivated – finally peace.
If you want, you can keep track of your Mac usage without using Screen Time by using alternative apps like Time Sink and Activity Watch. Good luck!
