How to use Business Chat on your iPhone to securely interact with companies through iMessage's iOS & iPhone :: Gadget Hacks

Apple Announced Business Chat for the First Time at WWDC 2017, a New Way for Customers to Communicate with Businesses Apple has released iOS 1

1 in iOS 11.3, so that companies can offer customer service in a completely new way, and it works much the same way in iOS 12 and above.

Some of the companies have done this support business chat include Ameritrade, Apple, Aramark, AXA, Buddybank, Burberry, Credit Suisse, DirectTV Now, Discover, Court, Engie, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Fresh, Harry & David, Harvey Norman , Hendrick Automotive Group, Hilton, The Home Depot, KDDI, Kimpton, La Redoute, Lithia Motors, Lowes, Macerich, Mall of America, Matchesfashion.com, Men's Camp, Newegg, Npower, Overstock.com, Quicken Loans, Robins & Day, SnapTravel, Sprint, Swisscom, Telstra, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Wells Fargo, West Elm, 1-800 Contacts and 1-800-Flowers.com.

Step 1: Initiate a Chat

Business chat is designed to make it easier for users to communicate instantaneously with their favorite company via messages. Initiate a chat.

When the company is participating, your iPhone will display a message icon with the company's contact information. When you search for a business in Safari, Spotlight Search, Maps, or Siri, this icon appears next to "Call," "Directions," "Share," or any other option. Just tap this icon to start the business chat with this company.

Another way to start a business chat with a company is to type an online link, either on the company's site or elsewhere, where it's supposed to be placed. Another option is to scan the QR code. Typically, this means that the company has placed a code somewhere in their store, either online or in stores, on the packaging of a product, or in advertisements that customers can use to scan their iPhone for convenient chat.

You can use this code with the QR code scanner built into the camera app (there is a shortcut in the Control Center), or you can use a third-party QR code scanner on your iPhone.

Step 2: Submit and Submit Your Message

Apple has made it clear to businesses and customers that customers need to start any conversation in Business Chat . This means that you will not receive any unexpected business messages and may take so long to send this first message.

You can start a chat as you like. If you know your question in advance, just enter it and submit it immediately. For example, if you're interested in having a product available at Apple, you may ask, "Do you have AirPods in stock?". and an answer with an answer is on the way.

However, you do not have to start a conversation with a specific question. Just say "hello" or "hello" and the chat starts. When you try to retrieve information about a particular store, you may need to take a few steps to connect directly to that store, such as: For example, your postal code or your phone number.

Apple claims all news – normal features are fair game here. This means that you can send attachments as needed, such as: An image of a product or a video of a problem. Businesses can do the same. GIFs are even acceptable.

You can stop the conversation at any time by tapping the back arrow at the top left or swiping right from the left side of the screen, just like any other conversation in News. You can recognize which threads are business chats by the name of the company as well as the respective certification exam. Companies also have a square icon instead of a circle like your other contacts.

Step 3: Hide Alerts and Delete Messages

Although users must first start a chat, companies can send notifications as they see fit on their device. Fortunately, you can stop receiving alerts for these alerts as you would any other message thread, or you can completely delete the thread to prevent future messages from arriving.

Just swipe left over the thread to see these two options. If you want to hide notifications, you'll still receive messages, not just notifications. If you delete the thread, you will not be able to retrieve those messages and a signal will be sent to the company that you have closed the chat and that they should end the conversation. You can also hide warnings via the Info (i) button directly in the thread.
