How to use Google Play Movies for Chrome and Chrome OS

Google Play Movies & TV is a streaming service that lets you watch videos through a web client or through an app from the Play Store. Regardless of whether you want to borrow or own, Play Movies lets you choose new or old songs from Google's extensive library.

Using Movies Movies for Chrome

You can access Play Movies through Chrome by visiting the Google Play Movies web site. In the online store, you can search and browse in one place, search for trailers by title, buy and rent movies, and watch movies and TV shows.

If you've ever visited the Google Play Store for apps, music, books, or whatever, the functionality is pretty much the same on all platforms, giving you a sense of familiarity when you're looking for something that you like can look at each other.

The top of the page has a search bar that lets you search the entire title catalog, or one of the buttons in the bottom lying bar to filter by genre, top charts or new releases.

More filtering options in the sidebar allow you to sort by TV programs, family programs, production studios, and the station on which a show originally appeared was broadcast.

If you scroll down, the playlists will be sorted into one categorized, which we know from many other streaming services: new releases, followed by the most popular movies, then a varied selection of genres.

If you found a track, click the Play button to play the trailer, or click the name to go to the movie page.

If you are not ready to press the print and buy a title / to rent, just click on "Add to wishlist" and the list will be added to "My Wishlist". We will explain this later.

If you have decided that this is the movie / TV series you want, you can rent or buy it by clicking the "Rent" or button Click "Buy" button.

Note: Not all movies and TV shows may be rented, so instead you can only see one purchase option.

A pop-up will appear where you can select the quality for your title (although sometimes only one quality is available). Click on the one you want to buy.

How to display your wish list

If the web storefront gives you the ability to instantly search for genre, you'll need to scroll down the four headlines of movies before you have the options.

Apart from the minor complaint, the app feels fast and contains most of the features of the web version. Where the app stands out in its filtering system, you can choose film / TV, genre, sub-genre, whether you want to rent or own the movie, and up to which decade the movie was made.
