Google recently added an incognito mode function to Google Maps for iPhone and Android. This means that you can now use Maps privately at any time, which means that you can search and search with confidence.
The incognito function for Maps is very similar to Chrome, so you can use Maps without a history of your search. However, the most important location functions are deactivated. The top? Nobody can search your search history because it’s not saved in your Google Account.
Enabling incognito mode in Google Maps
Open Google Maps, then tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Click "Activate incognito mode". You'll see a popup that summarizes what incognito mode is doing. Tap on "Close" here. Incognito mode is activated immediately. That was it!
You will now see the message "Incognito mode is enabled" at the top of your screen. A button labeled "Disable Incognito" will appear in the affected menus, allowing you to quickly disable your private session and return to your normal card experience. You can also tap the silhouette icon in the top right corner and then tap Disable Incognito Mode.
