If you have an iPhone or iPad with cellular connectivity, you can share the Internet connection with any of your other Apple devices without having to jump through the hoops. It's a little-known feature, and we'll blow you away.
Everyone already knows everything about Personal Hotspot, a feature that allows a device to share the Internet connection of an iPhone or mobile phone with any device ̵
What You Need
There are some requirements for using Instant Hotspot:
- Your iPhone or iPad must be enabled and connected to a wireless plan that supports tethering. Most do, but if you have problems, this could be the culprit. You may also need to pay this as a separate service, depending on your network operator and plan.
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be enabled for each affected device.
- All devices must be signed in to iCloud with the same device Apple ID.
Suppose everything is as it should be, you can start. You do not need configuration, and contrary to popular belief, you do not even need to enable a personal hotspot on your iPhone or mobile iPad to use this feature. Both devices only have to meet the requirements described above and be close enough to communicate with each other.
Allowing an iPad to Share the Internet Connection of an iPhone or a Cellular iPad
Before we begin, make sure that Bluetooth and Fi is enabled on both devices – this is the part that balances most of the people brings, and it is worthwhile to check this.
When this is done, open the Settings app and tap the "W-Fi" option. Then tap the name of the device you want to connect to. In the case of our screenshot we connect to "Olivers iPhone".
When you tap the iPhone or iPad, a connection is established and your iPad has wireless, instant Internet access.
