If you're navigating your phone and playing music while driving, both are common activities. However, every app requires your full attention. It's distracting, dangerous and illegal in many states to mess around with your phone when you're behind the wheel.
So you do not have to bother to swap apps just to change your music, Google has added a new feature that puts your music straight into the navigation mode of Google Maps.
With the new feature, available for Android and iOS, you can launch playlists and pause music from your favorite app without leaving navigation. The device you own limits choices: Android users can link Google Maps to Google Play Music, Apple Music, or Spotify, while iOS users can only use Apple Music or Spotify. When you link to Spotify, you can search the full app and switch back and forth between both programs. That's how it starts.
