Call Screen is one of the best features on Pixel phones. With one button, you can use Google Assistant and avoid pesky spam callers. However, after the call, there is seemingly no way to access the transcript for future review. Fortunately, there is a way, but it is tucked away.
With access to the transcript, you can analyze the previous conversation and address that person's needs to communicate with you. You can also treat the Call Screen feature as a Visual Voicemail, where callers leave you messages at your convenience. Or you can do it for your own records. Either way, having access to transcripts only enhances the call screen feature, making it another reason why you would want a pixel device pixel.
: Updating to the Latest Verison of Google Phone App
To minimize you running into any problems, update your phone app to the latest version via the Play Store.
- Play Store Link: Phone (free)
Step 2: View Transcripts
Open the Phone app and switch to the Recents tab by either swipe left or by select "Recents" along the bottom of the screen. In the list, you will find the Call Screen feature with and tap either their name or number (do not select their picture).
On the new page, you will see all the calls between you and the individual made that day. Any call where you use the Call Screen feature will have an option labeled "See transcript." Select this text to view the transcript of the screened call. The transcript only wants to include the portion of the conversation when communicated with your Google Assistant.
