Improve your morning with Alexa routines

Waking up can be tough, but Alexa can make it easier. Alexa will not make you any less sleepy or drag you out of bed, but you can make your morning routine more efficient.

Weather, Traffic, Light, and Slumbering Routines

If You Are Like You People wake up (at some point), try to get messages, check their emails, dress, determine the weather and the weather Traffic situation and gets a coffee (maybe even breakfast!), Before he goes to work. There is a lot of work to be done and it probably will not help that you hit the slumber button three or four times ̵

1; even if you swore yesterday that you would never do that again.

What if you could at least make your morning more productive? Instead of having to pull out the phone to retrieve the messages, then the weather and then the traffic, you can do all this through a routine. If you have smarthome technology, you may even consider rolling into routines to turn on the lights, turn on the coffee machine, and warm up (or cool down) the house. With a few delayed routines, you can even slowly mount lights like a sunrise clock.

If you want to go one step further, you can add echo buttons to your routines and give you a physical object that will beat you slumber Alexa, like old alarm clocks. We'll show you how to put together some morning routines to make getting up more bearable – or at least save some time in the morning.

Verify that all your routine tasks are correctly arranged. They are executed one after the other. If something is in the wrong place, tap and hold the two lines on the right side of the action and drag them up or down. If everything is correct, tap Save to finish creating the routine.

Now you have a routine that slowly raises the light, giving you weather, traffic information and music to start your day. You can change individual details, add other Smarthome options, or play messages instead of weather. But what if you need to take a nap? If you have an Amazon Echo button, you can create a routine that makes it a snooze button.

Setting Up an Echo Sleep Button

Next, a snooze button is set up. This can technically work with any routine that plays audio, but with your morning routines that broadcast news or music. This guide assumes that you have already paired your Echo buttons. If not, we have a practical guide that guides you through the process.

Create a new routine as before. After touching the plus icon to the right of "When this happens", select the Echo button.

When this happens, a dialog with hints about the Echo button

appears when prompted to Echo button that you want to use and tap "Add".

Select the Echo Button dialog box and click the Add button.

Tap the plus sign to the right of "Add Action".

Select "Device Settings".

Add a new dialog box with the option Device Settings.

Select "Stop Volume."

If the button is paired with the echo that you use for the morning routines, leave "Connected Device" enabled. Otherwise, check the correct echo. Then tap on "Next".

Stop the audio dialog with arrows pointing to the echo check mark and click "Next".

Tap Next.

But we need music again So let's add a delayed action to play music. Touch Add Action.

Select the "wait" option.

Choose a time when you want to sleep for 10 minutes. Then tap on "Next" in the upper right corner.

Set the time dialog with the arrows pointing to the selected time and the "Next" button

Now that we have a wait, we must listen to the music. Touch Add Action.

Select the option "Music".

If you want to restrict the possibility of repeating Snooze, you have the option step here to work only once. Tap the "Change" option to the right of Anytime.

Expand the "Suppress For" section and select "1 hour." Then tap "Next."

Set the state dialog with arrows pointing to the down arrow, the time, and the next one.

Tap Save to complete the creation of this routine. If you now hit the snooze button, the music pauses for ten minutes and then restarts.

You can change the setting Some of these variables will adapt to your needs, but using routines will make the morning easier – if not happy.
