During a presentation, a mix of different media types provides entertainment. A well-placed animated GIF is no exception. You can use them to deliver a message, demonstrate an activity, attract the attention of the audience, or simply add humor.
Inserting a GIF in PowerPoint
Inserting a GIF into a PowerPoint slide is as easy as pasting another image. Go ahead and find the GIF you use. In this example we use this fantastic Final Fantasy VI-GIF.
Next, open the PowerPoint presentation and navigate to the slide you are in. Insert the GIF. When you are there, go to the "Insert" tab and click the "Pictures" button.
In the following window, navigate to the location of the GIF, select it and click on "Paste".
The GIF is now displayed in the slide
In the regular slide view, the GIF is displayed statically, it will not be animated until To make sure it's working properly, go to the "Slide Show" tab and click the "From Current Slide" button (or press Shift + F5).
You should now see the GIF in action.
