For the first time, Apple has announced four new iPhone models at the same time. At the web event on October 13th, Apple presented the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. This year it made a phone for everyone. But when can you get your hands on one of these 2020 models?
Another important question is where can you get one? The obvious answer comes straight from Apple, but there are other places where you can pre-order and purchase the new iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models, such as: B. Some large stores and your wireless carrier. Because the coronavirus limits the number of people who can enter stores in some regions, buying it online and having your device shipped may be the safest option.
Release Dates: October 23rd and November 1
The release date will depend on which iPhone model you want in late 2020. Starting Friday, October 23, 2020, you can buy the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro online. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max won’t be available until Friday, November 13th, 2020, however, and you’ll be ready to shop at any of the stores below (there are many more, but these are the big ones).

Apple programs available
Apple has its own iPhone upgrade program that allows you to pay for a new iPhone model at 0% interest within 24 months. It is funded by Citizens One and you pay 24 equal monthly payments for the total cost of the selected iPhone and AppleCare + package.
If you choose this program, you can upgrade to a new iPhone every year after owning your current iPhone for at least six months. At least 12 payments worth (50% of the iPhone value) have already been paid out. An AppleCare + plan is required for the program and you must have a good reputation with Citizens One for the entire time you are in the iPhone upgrade program to continue the upgrade. The upgrade requires you to pay full tax at the time of purchase, but everything else is split over 24 months.
- iPhone 12 mini, 64GB – starts at $ 35.33 per month
- iPhone 12 mini, 128GB – starts at $ 37.41 per month
- iPhone 12 mini, 256GB – starts at $ 41.58 per month
- iPhone 12, 64GB – starts at $ 39.50 per month

- Phone 12 Pro Max, 128GB – from $ 58.25 per month
- Phone 12 Pro Max, 128GB – from $ 66.58 per month
Another option is Apple’s trade-up program. Instead of funding an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro model, you can trade in an eligible device for payment. We recommend comparing the price Apple is offering with third-party sites like eBay and Swappa to maximize the trade-in value for your current device. However, Apple accepts iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, Android devices, and more, so you don’t have to trade just one iPhone.
Carrier iPhone upgrade programs available
Apple’s iPhone upgrade program may be the best deal, but it’s not perfect. If you switch to an MVNO provider like Google Fi, you won’t be able to upgrade next time. This also applies to the carrier deals. Depending on your situation, carriers might be your best choice.
AT & T.
AT&T has an installment plan that allows you to pay off the full price of your iPhone over a period of 30 months at 0% interest. No deposit is required if your balance is good enough and you can add Next Up for an additional $ 5 per month. Next Up is the program that allows you to upgrade your current device to a new device after 30 to 90 days in the installment plan and after 50% payout.
See T-Mobile below as it and Spring have merged.
If you are using T-Mobile JUMP! If necessary, sign an 18-month lease that allows you to change your iPhone every 30 days. It may be a bit of an exaggeration for anyone as switching phones often makes the customizability pointless. To keep the cost of upgrades down, make timely payments for at least 12 months. If you don’t want to upgrade, you can withdraw the rest of the iPhone 9 months after the lease expires.
There is also an EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) option that spreads the cost over 24 or 36 months, but with higher monthly payments. Down payments may vary depending on the model and creditworthiness. If you cancel cellular service, the remaining balance on the phone is due immediately. You can also add the optional protection <360> to get JUMP! Features, that is, the ability to update sooner rather than later.
