The notorious Checkm8 bootrom exploit, first introduced by axi0mX has finally given way to the Checkra1n tool, which aims to provide a permanent jailbreak solution for modders running iOS 13 and above. The latest jailbreaking method covers devices ranging from the iPhone 5 s to the iPhone X.

You should also know that Checkra1n is semi-untethered which means you need to re-enable jailbreak every time you shut down or restart your device using the same steps below. After all, the tool only provides support for Cydia, which is not fortunate for the Sileo fans.

    Important notes

As mentioned earlier, it is Checking for a semi-bound jailbreak that needs re-activation The jailbreak shown in step 3 occurs each time the iPhone is turned off or rebooted. Once this is done, all the optimizations and modifications you have activated will automatically work again.

It should also be noted that Checkra1n works much more consistently on a number of devices than previous jailbreaking methods. We tested the jailbreak tool on an iPad Mini 4, iPad 6 and iPhone 8 – all on iOS 13.2.2 – and found that Checkra1n successfully modified all devices in one go.

Finally, mentioning Checkra1n is currently supporting only Cydia, without a word of certainty about whether it will support Sileo in the future. If you have an iPhone with jailbreaking and prefer Sileo, we recommend that you stop the upgrade to iOS 13 for the time being.
