Joe Biden’s presidential campaign surpassed the $ 500 million mark on advertising spending in the fight against President Donald Trump.

According to Advertising Analytics, the campaign has spent that amount on television, digital and radio advertising since the beginning of the year.

The amount includes what the former Vice President spent in his successful fight in the Democratic primary.

Since winning the nomination, Biden̵

7;s campaign has opened its checkbooks to target voters through ad purchases in key states such as Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Wisconsin and Texas.

Trump, on the other hand, has gone dark in certain states and has shifted his campaign spending on television advertising to Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.

As of early September, Biden has spent nearly $ 95 million on television advertising, while Trump has spent over $ 41 million, according to the Wesleyan Media Project.

The two are vying for supremacy with their Facebook advertising spending: they are practically tied to investing in the social media giants’ advertising platform this month. Everyone has spent a little over $ 5 million on Facebook ads over the course of the week.

The 2020 presidential and congressional elections are expected to cost $ 10.8 billion.

According to a survey average by Real Clear Politics, Biden is just under 10 points ahead of Trump.
