If you picked up Amazon Prime Day Deals you may have bought a new robotic vacuum or one of the high priced Alexa devices. But did you know that you can connect the two together and let your new robot cleaner run from work or on the go?

This helpful task is quite easy to set up. First connect your Robotic Vacuum Cleaner to your Amazon Echo ($ 70 on Amazon) and then trigger Alexa to start vacuuming. Just make sure your Robot Vac is connected to Wi-Fi for remote access. Remember, this is a remote command requesting your Amazon Echo device as a conduit, so your command sounds like "Alexa, please Roomba, vacuuming the house."

Connect Your Robotic Vacuum Cleaner to Wi-Fi [1
9659006] Before you can get started, you must first download the app that was set up for your robotic vacuum (iRobot Home App, Shark Ion Robot App, Neato App, Ecovacs App, etc.) and create a username and password. Next, you need to hook your charging station into the wall and turn on the vacuum robot. The next steps are described in the following sections.

iRobot Roomba:

Tap on your Wi-Fi network in the Roomba app and enter the password. While your Roomba is on the Home Base, hold down the Home and Spot Clean icons until the Roomba flashes a green Wi-Fi icon. If you're using an iPhone ($ 1,000 at Best Buy) go to your Wi-Fi settings and select the Roomba network. Android users – Roomba will automatically start setting up your network.
