Even though your feed is filled with different zooms, it has not always been that way. When Instagram started playing dramatic zooms, there was only one effect we could use – superzoom – whose original purpose was to mimic the dramatic chipmunk meme without adding any additional screen effects. Step 1: Find the Superzoom Effects

If you have selected this option, take a look at the new carousel above the trigger. Here you can choose from among 10 options for your zoom: Surprise, Bummer, Dramatic, No, Hopping, TV, Heart, Paparazzi, Beats and Fire.

If you select one, you have two options for recording. First, you can hold down the shutter-release button so you can shoot until you either release your finger on the shutter or reach the maximum recording time. Second, you can tap the trigger and Instagram automatically starts and stops recording.

You only know that Instagram may not be using the whole effect with the second method, and you can beat the effect with the first one. It's best to play around with each effect to get an overview of the different timings.

Although Instagram has not renewed its zooms list for some time, social media apps like to keep things up to date, often at the expense of legacy features.
