Trump’s first indoor rally in months was held on charges of coronavirus restrictions
President Trump’s first indoor rally in months was staged as a reprimand to Democrats for accusing him of using coronavirus restrictions on him. However, the election campaign event in Nevada also sparked harsh indictments from critics on Monday, symbolizing the president̵
7;s failure to effectively combat the deadly lust -19 crisis.
The gathering took place on Sunday evening as the pandemic caused at least 190,000 deaths in the United States. The number is expected to exceed 200,000 before Trump holds his next official campaign rallies on Friday. The November 3 election had already turned into a referendum on the president’s often dismissive stance on the pandemic before it was revealed last week that he had told Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward he knew the severity of the virus, however, preferred to downplay it publicly.
“We’re already turning the corner. We’re making this round, fine, final turn on a post-pandemic economic recovery, Trump said during the rally in Henderson, Nevada, although the nation has only regained about half of the jobs it has lost since the spring and has 13.6 million workers the rest are unemployed.
