I'm afraid the annoyed comments, emails and tweets that I get from this comparison, but I'm listening. There are people on both sides of the OS war who probably do not know what the other side has to offer.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I am more than 80 percent of the desktop and laptop world, primarily a Windows user. However, I am an iPhone fan and as a software reviewer I have a lot of experience on Macs. I am far from being a Mac or Apple hater.
Instead of presenting this as an argument for one side or the other, I simply go through the standard features of the operating system and compare the offers from Microsoft and Apple for the way. Yes, each category has a winner, and we will summarize the points at the end, but your choice of operating system includes much more than just features, hardware and software support, and features. It depends on what people in your environment use, what ecosystem (including your smartphone and tablet) you need, what your business needs are, and what your personality is. You are a Windows or a MacOS fan. Let us know why you are in your special warehouse.
