If one does not persuade the scenic vistas behind the Lord of the Rings film franchise to persuade tourists to visit New Zealand, perhaps one compelling content considered by Magic Leap One will be the Bring success.
On Thursday, Air New Zealand announced a strategic partnership with Magic Leap. The airline develops immersive content that presents the country as a holiday destination. Under the title "Fantastic Journey in New Zealand" the experience, like the Magic Leap One itself, will be released later this year.
"Air New Zealand is pleased to bring our customers innovative, emerging technologies and a more enjoyable travel experience," says Jodi Williams, Air New Zealand general manager for global brands and content, in a statement. "Our goal with this partnership is to continue to encourage new visitors to experience the wonders of New Zealand with us."
The airline also revealed that the experience is a product of the London-based creative studio Framestore. Just last week, Framestore revealed that it has secretly been working on content for Magic Leap in recent years.
"Magic Leap and Air New Zealand share a common ambition to bring real innovation to everyday life experiences, including air travel," said Magic Leap Chief Business Officer Rachna Bhasin. "As a Magic Leap partner, Air New Zealand is uniquely positioned to to provide the travel industry with revolutionary technology. "
