It looks like a while, but one of the most anticipated Magic Leap One accessories is finally here.
Magic Leap quietly added the official Magic Leap One carrier bag we unveiled last year to their website. There is no fancy name like any other Magic Leap component, it's just a "carry case", but the price is about as high as $ 95.
On the inside of the case there is a main headset and hip-computer chamber (aka Lightpack), while there are two charging pods on the sides.
When I tried out an early version of the case last year, it felt solid on what the As far as design and the ability to protect the Magic Leap One are concerned, but I was not entirely convinced that the ovoid design (reminiscent of that) Original HoloLens Carrying Case) was inevitably the best choice for those who frequently bring their Magic Leap One to different locations take.
To that end, I suggested a much cheaper option, which does not include purpose-built interiors for the official Magic Leap carrycot, but still does a good job.
Another thing I noticed is that there seem to be no third party shoulder straps. The prototype I tried on had a strap from a luthier (a subtle allusion to Rony Abovitz's love of music). When I was asked about it, I was told that the suitcase would be offered with different colorful shoulder straps from third party suppliers.
On the website, the company states that the case contains: "Various straps for a comfortable fit with an upper handle and a detachable / adjustable strap to carry over your shoulder or messenger Style. "So far, however, this does not seem to include the third-party tapes mentioned last year. Granted, this hits the deep end of the Magic Leap trailer, but it's no trivial matter to show you how to transport a $ 2,295 device that is not easy to repair, just the hardware for sale, not a carry case that serious Magic Leapers on the mothership website need to look for the new accessory.
