Maher warns Amy Coney Barrett like ‘Terminator’ sent to help Roe v. Overturning calf

“Real Time” host Bill Maher closed the show on Friday night with an alarm of the upcoming Supreme Court nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

Maher initially mocked the Democrats for threatening to grab the Supreme Court, saying it was “already full – with Catholics”.

“Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh, Sotomayor, and Gorsuch – who I count as Catholic because he was raised Catholic and is now an Episcopalian who is just a Catholic who failed Latin,” Maher quipped.

“And when Mitch McConnell and his company are done and Amy Coney Barrett gets banked, seven of the nine judges will be Catholics.”

The HBO star noted that Catholics made up only “20 percent” of the US population, suggesting that there should be a “healthier balance” on our Supreme Court that represents the people, stressing that atheists are “the most fastest growing denomination ”in the country.

BILL MAHER RIPS AMY CONEY BARRETT: “SHE’S AN F — ING NUT”

“We’re 26 percent of the country … where is our vote in the Supreme Court?” Asked Maher, an outspoken atheist. “And atheists are actually better judges because we don’t have to work to separate church and state. We are not torn between rational decisions and what is in the old book of Jewish fairy tales.”

Maher then knocked on Barrett for a comment she made to a senior law class in 2016 when she said, “Remember, your legal career is just a means to an end … That end builds the kingdom of God.”

“No, it isn’t,” replied Maher. “This is not the point of a legal career and you experts are seriously debating whether she will vote to overturn Roe against Wade? Of course she will! She was cared for from birth to overthrow Roe against Wade. She is like the terminator, a robot programmed to do a task other than send it from the future, but from the past. “

Maher then divided Catholics into two categories – “scary” and “not scary”. And while he said the vast majority of them were “not scary,” he warned that the “over-conservative Catholics who have an agenda” want to “go back to the Middle Ages,” citing Attorney General William Barr and The Federalist Society as examples .

“Those old school Catholics are playing the long game. Amy Barrett has been on her radar for ages because she grew up in an extremist Catholic community called the People of Praise, where the responsibility of husbands is to” correct “his wife, in case she deviates the right way and where women were called ‘maids’, “explained Maher. “There is nothing wrong with yelling nuts when s — is crazy!”

“Chuck Schumer said Democrats wouldn’t make Barrett’s religion an issue,” he concluded, “but they should because being insane is important.”
