AdwCleaner has just been improved. The latest version of the free Malwarebytes tool can now remove manufacturer-installed bloatware on Windows PCs. We've already loved it to remove potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) such as adware and browser hijackers.
We have long loved AdwCleaner since Malwarebytes acquired it in 201
We recommend Malwarebytes as one of the best anti-malware solutions for a Windows PC, but this tool is useful even if you already have Malwarebytes installed. It recognizes additional things that not everyone wants to remove. AdwCleaner is also free for everyone.
Download and run Malwarebytes AdwCleaner for Windows to use it. The tool runs without installation. Just click on "Scan Now".
Displays a list of software you might want to remove. For more information about software, right-click it and select "See Threat Definition" to go to the definition page on the Malwarebytes website. Computer points out that this feature is available in AdwCleaner 7.4, which was published on July 24, 2019, is new. Prior to this release, AdwCleaner focused only on adware and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), not on bloatware.
If you really want it If you no longer need bloatware on a new PC, we recommend the Windows 10 Restart feature – a clean installation of Windows 10 from the ground up, but easier.
