First Lady Melania Trump exclaimed former friend and advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff as “dishonest” and “selfish” on Friday, weeks after Wolkoff published a scrapbook about their friendship.
“Big news outlets were busy reporting brutal allegations by a former contractor who advised my office,” Trump said in a White House essay, without naming Wolkoff. “A person who said they ‘made’ me even though they barely knew me and someone who clung to me after my husband won the presidency.”
Trump said conversations that Wolkoff secretly recorded and shared with the media have been “taken out of context”
The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Wolkoff Tuesday alleging the author breached a nondisclosure agreement and failed to submit a draft of the book to the government for review.
GOVERNMENT suing MELANIA TRUMPS ‘former best friend over “SCATHING’TELL-ALL”
The government claims that Wolkoff “promised to maintain the strict confidentiality of” non-public, privileged and / or confidential information “when she volunteered as an advisor to the First Lady in 2017. This nondisclosure agreement should not have had a termination date.
By failing to submit a draft of her book for review, Attorneys at the Justice Department alleged that she had not received the necessary authorization to divulge the details contained in the book, which they found were labeled a “devastating tell-all.”
The book is full of flattering allegations against the First Lady, including that she renovated a bathroom in the White House so as not to use the same facilities as former First Lady Michelle Obama, that she complained about the White House for Christmas having to decorate and felt disgusting from children separated on the U.S.-Mexico border after their parents crossed illegally.
BILLY RAY CYRUS SENDING GOOD WISHES TO MELANIA TRUMP, THANK YOU FOR THE PREVENTION
“Her” memoirs, “Trump wrote,” included blaming me for her poor health from an accident she had a long time ago and for the poor reporting she got about herself and others. ” Never looking into their dishonest behavior and all in an attempt to be relevant. These kind of people only care about their personal agenda – not about helping others. “
Trump said the news outlets opted for “pettiness” rather than their “positive work,” a reference to their Be Best campaign for children.
“There are many opportunists out there who are only concerned with themselves and, unfortunately, try to enlarge themselves by knowingly taking advantage of my goodwill,” she wrote.
